The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has unveiled a new name: Blood Cancer United. The update better reflects the global nonprofit’s advocacy and research for the larger community affected by over 100 blood cancers, including myeloma and myeloproliferative neoplasms. “This is more than a name change,” says Gwen Nichols, MD, the organization’s chief medical officer. “It’s a call to action that’s more important than ever to ensure that every patient is seen, supported and given a chance at life.”
